Artists are considered residents for the duration of the 15 – 16 day workshop. Each session typically has 8 to 10 artists participating in the ROJA ART LAB. A series of visitors will be invited to attend throughout the art laboratory to encourage critical debate and dialogue – this will also include both presentations and lectures by the participant’s. Prior to the physical production of work, there will be project presentations and concept discussion meetings with the organizers in which the specifics of each artist will be contextualized and approved per the logistics of the location/s.
ROJA ART LAB has the right to reproduce any/all images of the work and process, including pieces meant to be exhibited as well as those images provided by the artist for pre-selection. This also includes any images of the work included in an exhibition or used for an exhibition catalogue (should there be one), standard publicity, advertising or archival purposes in any manner connected with ROJA ART LAB, the exhibition or its sponsors.
Applicants should be interested in an interdisciplinary dialogue and open to collaboration.
